Eric, that is what is so compelling about the mirroring. The levels of trust, conversation and intimacy acknowledge a ritual of heighten awareness that is fully externalized and held in the satiated field of relational intimacy. How beautiful !
I get this image of the ourobus cycling contact with its tail. An internal sense of completing a self love of surrender and a submission to a field of emmense beauty and bliss.
ps the common ground is everyone being comfortable with everyone's self-given bliss and release. there is a dark corner trapping so much sexuality on the level of coflict and this is the quality reveal when you go past that.
i have to rewrite that...what I am saying here is that much sexual darkness is jammed in place by the masturbation taboo which conceals the forbidden zone of all other sexuality. Open up that zone and much healing and pleasure become available...
Hi Denis, yes that is true and then there is way that I'm never really in a closed loop. That includes sharing these stories. Here we are probing the nature of consciousness though what you may notice in all of these stories is the presence, awareness and experience of others. They hold the mirror for me and I hold it for them. It's difficult to describe the depth of this contact and sharing but I try.
My intent is to open up inner awareness to the presence of others. The idea here is "intimacy is introspection that we share."
My sense is that much of what we think of as intimacy excludes others from our experience rather than includes them. There is no other way that two could be "the loneliest number after number one," as the old song goes. Many bonded people are extremely lonely. There are few metaphors to describe this though it has something to do with not really wanting to be seen, felt or known.
When I published the first part of Book of Blue 3 earlier this year, someone wrote to me and said: “Makes me see just how much I've hidden myself through sex, instead of the opposite, and then wondered why relationships feel so not intimate, why I've felt disconnected — from the other, and from myself.”
So the daring quality here is coming out of that hiding. And not coincidentally, that hiding ruins sex for most people. It leaves them feeling isolated instead of connected.
I think that much of what people are looking for in sexual relationships is affirmation of how they feel and who they are. Because there is so much pressure to focus on "the other" and also the thinly hidden mandate to conceal any feelings that do not fit monogamy, people conceal their inner psychic and emotional experiences. Usually they do not dare reveal with is going on for them.
If I hold a mirror for someone and affirm just what they are feeling and what they are seeing and encourage them to love themselves, that is intimacy without mockery.
Once that usually-unquestioned mandate (such as to hide in monogamy) is removed, we have a lot more freedom. But then there are funny moments. The voice actor (a stunningly beautiful Australian but New York Cit-based model) who read "Receive Thee Unknown" (see below) did a variety of scripts with the line "I will never fuck you" said that her boyfriend was jealous.
And this disturbed her to the point that she could not continue. So let's sort that out. She says to another man, "I will never fuck you" and the guy she does fuck is "threatened" by and angry about that? And seemingly so is she?
This is really quite marvelous...it reveals how non-sex agreements open up a way into intimacy that "threatens" what others think of as intimacy. Also the conscious agreement not to fuck transposes sex to the level of a shared understanding. Made conscious, that understanding can include acknowledgement of desire. And once you have a) an agreement and b) admission of desire, anything is possible.
It is possible to get drunk, come home with someone and shag. It is not possible to do that with shared mirror masturbation. There has to be a conversation. There has to be an understanding. There has to be intimacy. And this fulfills many needs and desires that don't even bubble to the surface in seemingly intimate situations.
yes yes yes i submit you are right denis...this all begins with teenage dreams of cumming down my own throat. before i had any real concept of pysical sex with a woman....I initiated myself. and in sense as I withdraw into my selfsexuality I seek to close the circle...those dreams felt real good, so many of them, where I existed fully in the experience of thisting and swallowing at once. down that path of self celibate destiny. it's kind of what has to happen...I am pretty far in...it is only very occasinoally that I masturbate with a woman present...i have a photo of me I love that I'll find and post at the bottom of this post...that is the space that I keep luring myself into, so openly
Reading tonight, I became aware of a fourth reading - in Brussels...

To step away from the outer (alter of bliss) and turn towards the inner is daring!
It’s not for the faint of heart.
